Week 29: I want to go ahead and give you a warning...this is a picture heavy post!
As we were trying to get Christmas packed up to head home, we had a busy week of Christmas celebrations here in Louisiana! The kindergarten classes at Mary Virginia's school were busy practicing for their program, but they made time for lots of fun too! Wednesday was Polar Express Pajama Day! This is MV modeling her pjs (before we finished getting ready for school)! The kids had a blast playing at school in their pjs and watching movies! John Bay had a pajama day too....along with a pizza party! YUM! Of course, it was probably too warm for the flannel pajamas, but it is Christmas and I wasn't going to send him in shorts and a t-shirt!
After dropping JB off at school in his pjs, I rushed back to MV's school for her program! The kids did great and were so cute singing and dancing to their Christmas songs. I am partial, but I think Rudolph was the best!

They had some really cute moves, antlers and bright red noses! After the program, MV's teacher told us that she had choreographed the dance routine for the class...
The Giant Icicle
This is just a portion of the display at the Messenger's Christmas Land. They started the light display in the 60's and they have over 60,000 lights along with 30 Christmas Scenes. For those of you that know...imagine the Krawczyk's house with LOTS more lights and some nights they bring in a camel! It was amazing! I couldn't believe it when we pulled down street and there was a police officer directing traffic. Once you finally found a place to park, you walked through all of the lights. They have animated displays lining the driveway and lights everywhere! The kids were in awe!
These pictures are of my neighbor's house...the house that you could see from my back windows and if you stepped outside and listened closely, you could hear the music that played with the light movement . I must admit that it was fun to turn out the lights inside and watch the Christmas light show!
On Saturday morning, we headed home! It was beginning to feel like Christmas! On our way home, we found out that Mim and Maggie were going to be home for the night, so we were able to celebrate Mim's birthday with her (and spend lots of time with Maggie). The kids had so much fun playing and it was such a treat to watch them play together!
